The resort location was a plus. i really liked the closeness to xcaret park and xplor. They were about a 5 minute walk or drive. the food provided many choices and i enjoyed trying different things. i especially liked the snorkeling area, it was fun and easy to get to.

The check in process took a very long time. it took almost two hours to finalize, frustrating. it created a slow start to our vacation. We wanted to settle in faster.

The restaurants had varied options. There were buffets plus a la carte choices, it was easy to find something interesting. the steak house and oriental restaurants were highlights. The pizza was also quite good.

The staff was friendly, i noticed especially at the restaurants and bars. the pool area was well-kept, and the servers always seemed happy to bring drinks quickly. staff were very nice. They always had a smile.
